Hunter Gary, IWI

Owner

Hunter Gary is 34 years old and is a life-long Tennessee resident. He, and his wife Heather Gary, currently reside at their home in Charlotte, TN. His passion for being around water began during early childhood with family trips to Norfork Lake in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. The idea that there was an opportunity to form a career around water began in (Cordova) High School with a formal education in drafting and design, as well as an after-school job working for J.Brownlee Design in Lakeland, TN. With 20 years of experience in the pool industry Hunter has achieved a variety of accomplishments and had numerous experiences with different sides of an industry shaped around water. He is an active member of Watershape University and holds the industry’s leading certifications with the International Watershape Institute (IWI) status. Hunter is currently the owner of H2 Outdoor Living, LLC (Charlotte, TN) and uses his design work to express his creative thoughts and to ensure the implementation of industry best-practices for clients across the nation, and occasionally on an international level. He says that “Such a huge part of my success has come from the opportunity of working alongside of our industry’s greatest leaders, but what I have really learned is the importance of staying plugged in. There is a daily need to network with the best of the best and to stay involved in the largest educational events in order to successfully navigate the challenges that we face on a daily basis.” When asked what keeps him passionate about his career Hunter goes on to say, “Water is inherently one of the most powerful, dangerous and potentially devastating things that we may come across in our lifetime. We get the chance to take that, tame it, turn it into art, and use it for our own good… THAT is the best part of what I get to do every day.”
